This is our Lake Home as we bought it.
The Living Room has great potential with Pine floors that we think we can save.
This is the Laundry Room which will eventually be a Sun Room.
What fun is this 12ft x 8ft kitchen? The Patriotic Red, White, and Blue theme was introduced to this home in the '70s. There is plenty of room for reinvention.
Originally part of the Kitchen, Bedroom #1 has the original Oak floors in fairly good condition. This room may be small, but we have plans for it to be Mighty as it will be a bedroom for Young Guests.
Bedroom #2 is a rather large 10 x 14' room. It has a nice walk in closet that is 3 x 6.5. The view out of these windows is probably my favorite.
Bedroom #3 is my current Nightmare! lol
I love the reclaimed Barn Wood in the Dinning Room! Score!
This is the one and only Bathroom in the house. As bad as it appears, it is fully functional, but the Septic System needs a good Lookin' At.
Another view of the front yard and house.
THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!
8/16 Warning... Work in Progress...
Fisher fireplace insert - currently in the process of repair.
The patriotic colors were great in principal, but thank goodness, those blue walls are gone now.
The Hall - 12 feet of glorious vinyl flooring, complete with pet doo doo, (now gone).
What the heck happened here? Looks like water damage AND pet damage. Work in progress.
One of 2 windows that are the original wood frames (rotted) but the glass is all intact. We are on the hunt for vinyl windows to replace them with. These are the only 2 windows in the house that are not vinyl windows. This is a major money saver. Yay!
Scary bedroom #3, definitely a nightmare with not much work done yet, but I did get that nasty, stinky carpet and padding out of there. It still smells atrocious! I'm waiting for the courage to do work on it some more. (do you blame me?) lol
Huge tree that fell down the pasture.
Kaylee with Daddy and Grampa fishing at Swofford Pond
Her first of three fish she caught. She out-fished the rest of us. xoxox
Blustery day with beautiful heavens at Swafford Pond
The jumping tower on dry land at Riffe Lake. This is usually under water except for the top 10 feet or so. You can see it from Hwy 12 at the dam look out too. It is fascinating that so much water has receded.
