Here are my favorite posts for today. Today's focus is on wall art. There are quite a few links to different takes on the subject. Let's get started.
I don't know if you have noticed that Gallery Walls are all the rage right now. A Gallery Wall is simply where you take a few choice pictures that you want to highlight and add other artistic elements to the mix. You can use all pictures if you wish, but vary the sizes.

If you think that you wouldn't be able to do it, au contraire mon frere'.
There is a great tutorial video HERE
There are also numerous different ways to do it, with a lot of different items. Here are a few of my favorite decor pics from BHG today with this style.
They suggest using heirloom fabrics but I would stick to quilting fabrics, safer and cheaper.
I love the mixture of hand drawn art with black and white photos on a shelf. The very thin plywood that they put down first does add to the look too. I find that an interesting idea.
This one suggests a gallery with a theme, This one looks very shabby chic and this one does also:
This one gets a LOVE from me and I will probably use this one in my Homestead kitchen.
Imagine children's art below, or a series of vacation pictures. Why not do it with a series of family portraits. Even military memorabilia would work if you have a veteran or active duty serviceman.
This is a fun idea for a border or an area that you don't have much wall space. Cute!
Now, this is where objects come into play. No pictures here, just a set of collector plates or family china. It is simple, but nice. The sconce lamps are almost hidden though.
A couple of ideas that I LOVE are the galleries used as headboards in the bedroom. Take a look.
I love this one. The pictures are all uniform and are simple black and whites. Cute room too.
The matting brings these together. Those lamps would need something bright. lol
If you don't have ideas of your own, there are free printable pics available as PDFs and we have BHG blessing to use them, and use them, and use them. Look...
The link is HERE and there is something for everyone. Gotta love ink jet printers these days!
It has been so fun showing you my favorites, and I would love to see your favorites too. One final link for you that I think you will enjoy. HERE If you can't find something to tickle your fancy there, you are just plain not ticklish. Well, enough for tonight, Ta ta for now, Beth
