Swofford Pond
Reviews are great about this pond for the catfish, trout, bluegill, and bass. Apparently there is a monster fish called a blue channel catfish that is rumored to be here, but we haven't seen hide nor hair of it. You can google Swofford Pond and read way more than I will ever know.
What I do know is that John, Chris and I have had such fun fishing this pond. If you were to see it in person, you would say "why is this called a pond and not a lake?". It really is very big. I guess, in comparison to Riffe Lake, it IS a pond. We have never gone out without catching something. Now this something my just be a bluegill, but they can really put on a show! It's funny when you think you have caught a big fish and all you pull out is a big bluegill. John loves them. Feisty little boogers!
One day John and I went out by ourselves and had a blast. Seemed every 4-5 minuets we were getting a hit. That was the day that I caught a fairly big bigmouth bass. I guess we could have kept it but John only keeps fish that are hurt. He said that we can catch him again another day. We still came home with a stringer of nice sized trout. Yum...
Ha ha, I'm not allowed to tell you what we use as bait, or where exactly we call our "spot". What I am supposed to say is that "the fishing stinks and there is no point on coming out". My thoughts on that is "That's a bunch of malarkey"! There is room for everyone and plenty of fish to "floss".

My guys and the pond, I love this last one of the farm. It is just around the corner from our house.
Well, enough for today, Ta ta for now, Beth
